Paolo Fait

Research interests: I mainly work on Aristotle's logic (dialectic, syllogistic, theory of fallacies) and metaphysics (especially the Categories and the Metaphysics). I am also writing on Aristotle and the method of ethics; on moral states and dispositions; and on Protagoras and Thrasymachus.

Graduate supervision: Aristotle's logic and its philosophy; Aristotle on necessity and possibility; Aristotle's theory of substance and the categories; Aristotle's philosophy of mathematics; Aristotle's theory of virtue; Plato's philosophy of mathematics; Sophistry and fallacies in Greek philosophy.
