Summary of doctoral thesis: I am interested in the metaphysics and the philosophy of language in the ancient Indian philosophical tradition. My thesis focuses on the conceptualisation of time in terms of (meta-)linguistic analysis encapsulated in the Abhidharmakośabhāṣya. I am unpacking and reconstructing the argumentative history of the intertwined intellectual interaction between the Śābdikīyas (grammarians) and the Ābhidharmikas (Buddhist sectarian philosophers).
